About VideoCutout

VideoCutout is a browser-based tool that automatically separates the foreground subject from a video's background.

Two focused workflows

• Transparent Background: upload a video and export the processed result with its original background removed.
• Custom Background: upload a video and one JPG, PNG, or WebP image; the image becomes the new video background.

Both workflows use the wavespeed-ai/video-background-remover model. No brush, selection canvas, or manual mask is required.

Private processing flow

Source videos and custom background images upload directly to the configured private storage. The server creates time-limited URLs for WaveSpeed, stores the prediction ID, polls asynchronously, and copies completed results back to the application's own result storage.

Accounts, credits, and retention

Generation uses the existing account and credit system. Jobs remain visible in History, failed jobs follow the existing credit-return policy, and stored results follow the retention period of the user's plan.
